  1. My personal opinion is that:

Answer #1:Japanese Bushido was better in the fact that it comprised the Samurai, you could not be a samurai unless you followed Bushido.
On the other hand feudal chivalry was a optional thing,if a lord had a spat with another lord the chivalry went out the window.Besides at it's core chivalry is comprised of three things, respecting your "fair Lady",respecting your local Catholic church, and being a gentleman warrior.
Answer #2:Both forms of warrior spirit were adhered to in parts,But for the most part Bushido was more closely followed.
Answer #3:You can find sincere and in-sincere followers on both sides,The Forty-seven Ronin followed Bushido to the "t",and King Louis the pious was a chivalrous knight to the heart, but men are evil at the core and will corrupt any good thing.

  2. Well I have never read up on nether of these. But I have seen, Naturally, movies like king arther and stuff like that. So I think I can claim at least basic knowledge on chivalry. Bushido on the other hand I have only heard of a few times but I will comment on what was already presented above.

First thing that came to mind is the fact that chivalry was not needed to become a knight wile bushido was a needed part to becoming a samurai. So this means that a knight who decided on his own to fallow the "code" of chivalry would be more respected than a samurai that follows bushido just to get the title of samurai?

  3. Well Gryphon I will address each of you questions to the best of my ability but don’t expect me to commit hara-kiri (Seppuku) if I can’t shed much light on the subject. :)
    #1: Which was better?
In the first place we aren’t exactly sure what ether code was.
    But I do know that chivalry as described in wrightings like the Song of Roland all give the same basic Idea;
 1To fear God and maintain His Church
 2To serve the liege lord in valour and faith
 3To protect the weak and defenceless
 4To give succour to widows and orphans
 5To refrain from the wanton giving of offence
 6To live by honour and for glory
     7To despise pecuniary reward
 8To fight for the welfare of all
 9To obey those placed in authority
 10To guard the honour of fellow knights
 11To eschew unfairness, meanness and deceit
     12To keep faith
 13At all times to speak the truth
 14To persevere to the end in any enterprise begun
 15To respect the honour of women
 16Never to refuse a challenge from an equal
 17Never to turn the back upon a foe
Later the “Church” got on the band wagon and changed it but before they got a hold on it this was a pretty good code. Basically it says to:
    have a relationship with God; 1,12;
    obey authority;2,9
    serve justice;3,11,13,15;
fallow certain biblical precepts on money;5,7,
    to live honorably ;3,6,8,10,11,13,15,16,17,
    and finely to be courageous;16,17
Well that’s Chivalry let’s look at Bushido . there is no “official” Bushido but the code runs something like this and is expressed in these seven virtues:

Rectitude (義, gi?) : the quality or state of being correct in judgment or procedure: moral integrity : righteousness
    Courage (勇, yū?)
    Benevolence (仁, jin?)
    Respect (礼, rei?)
    Honesty (誠, makoto?)
    Honor (名誉, meiyo?)
    Loyalty (忠義, chūgi?)
Before you ask yes I cut and pasted the characters. I think the structure is pretty close to the same for both of them. Maybe If you ask anyone what the Ideal warrior was they will probably come up with something like they did Loyalty, Honor, Courage ,est. So I would guess that each is probably better in its culture. Except that Chivalry seems to have some biblical basis but Bushido draws its inspiration from Confucianism and Buddhism so I say that Chivalry is better if only because of that.
#2 Definitely Bushido but I would agree with Twilight Shadow on the affects.
#3 I think Gryphon is right on this one.

How you know so much about the swords? The content here is helping. you learn in school?

    ReplyDelete
  8. we just like stuff about swords and things like that.

We learned some of it in school but we just search the net and read books. Although I don't know as much as Gryphon or Rennuke. Im just tech support :)

  10. to twilit shadow: tech support are very important I think. It is good job you do. ;)

to griffon: I am passion of history. At Teikyo I am major of history. My mom nice like yours, she say I am dense like brick, which is complement to me.

I write this haiku for you, my mom like it much. You read?

    Behind Takeshi
    We maliciously admit
    Are four scheming girls.

    We ought to repent
For tricking you all so well
    So sorry. Wait--not!

    Hahahahaha!
    This was great entertainment.
    Let's do it again soon?

    ReplyDelete
  11. How long have you been interested in writing Haiku Takeshi?
I’ve all was been interested in it but have never tired writing it.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Buy the way I looked at the Teikyo University site and I noticed that they didn’t list a history course are you taking that somewhere else?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Well thank you very much Takeshi, its nice to here that. I could try and get a job with tech support. But I am not sure what I would like to do yet (although I can't wait too much longer to decide.) And the haiku was funny :) it sounds like you have a sense of humor.

  14. Ladies, you smoked'em! That was a brilliant piece of workmanship! Congrats. I wish that we had the brain power to cook up something that elaborate.Once again, good job on the cunning piece of literature:)

    ReplyDelete
  15. @the hunter: Thanks! We're excessively pleased with ourselves, too...

@twilight shadow: You've deflated? Erika wants to know if this means she's taller than you now, haha.

@rennuke: thanks for the link. :P And now that I've had my fun, I'll try not to bug you guys any more. I have a feeling that if I keep commenting, I'll be blocked and find a "No Girls Allowed!" sign where the blog used to be. :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. That’s not a bad idea but when we want to say something that we don’t want you to see we just right it on the “Deadgrapevine” so we don’t mind if you see this. You could even help with those political threads that I keep trying to get started

    ReplyDelete
  17. We are trying to extend to diverse interests to get more rounded opinions on subjects, so if you wish to comment go ahead.(even if are a nexus for the "Grapevine":)

you can tell Erika that(intellectually) she already towers over most of us Reeds anyway.

    P.S:hunter you are such a traitor!But you get brownie points,and it IS the truth.So a smart,truthful,traitor.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I could make a "No girls allowed" sign but I would need proper authorization from the blog owner. Although I can't see any reason for you not to come here and comment with us.

And only My ego was deflated.....just a little.
I fail to see how this has anything to do with my intelligence. I am just as smart as anyone there in my own areas. Of course some areas I just flop in :D

    ReplyDelete
  19. How am I a traitor? First I get insulted, then I get complimented, and all in the same sentence!?(Does anybody else see anything really weird about that?) And how do I get brownie points?(From whom?) Do some explaining Gryph.:)

    ReplyDelete
  20. really weird is my forte.(YOU of all people should know that!:)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think the girls give The Hunter the panful of brownie points, right?

(BTW, what *are* brownie points? I've never understood that term. Are they points made out of brownies? Or points that you can get brownies with? Or points that you get from brownies? Or are they related to the elf-like thingy that's called a brownie in fairy tales?)

    ReplyDelete
  22. It has many meanings, but I (and probably the rest of my brothers)would prefer to use the "points that you can get brownies with" definition. That being said, when can I cash in? P.S. That bearded brownie cake thing doesn't count,GIRLS!

    ReplyDelete
  23. although his definition is a bit limited(Brownie points can not only be converted into brownies, but also a variety culinary tid-bits.Not to mention they can also be utilized as a "Get-out-of-jail-free-card")THE HUNTER is correct.
although.........you maybe right that they actually mean the Elf-Brownie.The Hunter is sorta Elf like.(especially seeing as how most brownies have long beards and voracious appetites!;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. The Hunter: Okay...so you now have 25 brownie points. Please be aware that a large brownie (note: not the whole pan) is worth 100. And no, the brownie pizza doesn't count.

Gryphon: I like limited definitions. They limit my confusion. However, Get Out of Jail Free cards (not that I could ever imagine The Hunter being in a situation that would require him to use it) are worth 500 brownie points.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It is truly astounding to see the amount a definition can change in such a short amount of time. Brownie points were originally children’s way of describing the fuzzy currency between their parents and themselves, for instants you get brownie points by cleaning your room or setting the table without being asked wall you would loose them for forgetting to do the same when asked, you spend them by having you friends over or asking to eat something special. This eventually bled over in to other fazes of life and morphed to suit the needs of that age group. Until now it seems to mean you own perception of the favor scale in your relationships with any one more powerfol then your self.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I stand corrected in this matter.thank-you for lending your hand at clarification Rennuke.
P.S:I apologize for my elaboration of the subject if it only confused. But seeing as how I am confused on just about every subject available,I require as much explaining as possible.:)

    ReplyDelete
  27. So...he doesn't get brownies? And his 25 brownie points are worthless representations of the fact that he did something nice and is therefore existing in a state of good will toward the girls?

    It's okay, Gryphon...I get confused too :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. (sigh) Thanks a lot guys. I would have shared too.

    ReplyDelete
  29. not USELESS,(per say) it is just they are catalysts for reciprocation of good-will.like I do not know....uhhhhh.....FOOD!yes food is a great way to cash in on a "state of good will."

    DISCLAIMER
all thoughts and ideas mentioned in this post will come into question, and possible termination, if a better theory is announced.

    P.S:hey Dustin!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Good night! I don't check the blog for 2 day and this is what I find? Now we have two of them (Goes to make the no girls allowed sign…...Uses great self-control to not hit the apply button). On the other hand, if you could please be so kind as to remove that infernal Takeshi from the followers listing so I do not have to see him every time I log in. I think I could find it in my heart to not block him and you can continue to have a false profile on your hands. So do you girls harbor any shame or guilt for making a false account with a picture of a completely random person and posted their face on a joke profile? How would you feel about someone using one of your many pictures (most of which provide a perfectly identifiable face in them) to play a joke on there friend’s blog? What happens when that person finds his picture on that profile and then starts making some phone calls? I mean he does dress like a doctor right? Can you really afford to be sued by a doctor? And YES It could happen, it's a long shot but you girls want to go to or continue going to college right? If this just happens to turn ugly which one of you will pay the fine? Better to be safe than sorry. And Dustin, How are you doing? I do not no what possessed you to come and visit our little, tiny slice of the net but welcome!

P.S. Brownies or Brownie points. I don't really care as I like both :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. You know what I think? I think Gryphon should make brownies for everyone :)

Twilight Shadow: Well, we are condensing the comments to this one blog post. And I don't think you need to worry about us commenting on other posts...comments (generally) require reading the post, and...well...yeah. So you want us to make Takeshi to stop following the blog? We can oblige. As for the actual dude suing us...based on the suit, I think the picture was taken in the 70s. Therefore, Takeshi-the-real-guy is probably about 60 years old and probably doesn't even know what the internet is, so the chances of him finding this are pretty slim. Besides, I think he would just try to cash in on the brownies. But if he did sue us, I volunteer Rachel's piggy bank :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. What have you done to warrant Gryphon making you any brownies? I don't recall the girls having any brownie points with him? Unless,of course, something has slipped my feeble mind.:) (Wouldn't be the first time.) And isn't there any honor among thieves? I would never volunteer anything from one of my fellow men, unless they gave me full permission of course.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can make brownies if you want. But if you want Brownies and not Hockey-pucks I am definitely not your guy:)(try Duncan he has an apprenticeship with grandma in the baking department. He makes some mean brownies!)

(in a whispering tone)Okay Aaron I will pretend to be 60-year old Takashi and sue them. You will grab their piggy banks when they are not looking!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hunter I would never insinuate that you were anything more than the epitome and stalwart of trust and dedication to your fellow man. There is no honor among thieves, but there is honor among us chickens.

    ReplyDelete
  35. *blinks in confusion* I feel like we're traveling in a circle...possibly a hexagon...on the brownie issue. I was just trying to point out a viable option that was satisfying to all involved (yep, that's me :D ) Why don't I just try to bring some to the next game night...

The Hunter: Ooooohhh...burn!! Not only are you calling me a thief, but you are calling me a dishonorable thief?? *sniffles*

    ReplyDelete
  36. You said "we",so I technically called a few people dishonorable thieves:) Would you blame me? You (a group of girls whom I will not name names)threatened to take someone else's piggy bank!! (within your own group, none the less!)That's pretty dark if you ask me.(sigh) I guess that I just lost all those brownie points, huh? Or can I cash in now and stay on a lot of people's good sides?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I vote we make a mudslinging and good natured thread. this has gotten so far away from the op its not funny. and we the brotherhood of.....something we haven't thought of yet....hmmm...hay guy's what are we the brotherhood of? oh well, we are the most strict and well trained secret keepers of this area. We would never betray the immense trust we have in each other.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh, right, thank you for taking the 70's pic off. after all it's 2010 :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. We must have been boring the girls, eh?:)

    ReplyDelete
  40. You're welcome, Twilight Shadow. My minion did it :)

    Gryphon...no comment!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Easy there Gryph. The only reason that they can't post as often as we do is because THEY ARE ACTUALLY MAKING SOMETHING OF THEMSELVES!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. WOW!!!I do not even rate a comment anymore!I have hit a new low! This is GREAT!
I would like to thank all the little people who would not comment to me for years up till now, so I could win this "No Comment"!!!!Thank you!Thank you!!!

Oh wait this is bad!I will have to kick my useless comments up a notch in order to get better than a "no comment"!

    ReplyDelete
  43. You're not getting emotional, Gryphon...are you? Here, have a tissue whilst I 'splain. My "no comment" comment was in response to your assertion that the guys were boring the girls...it was a subtle way to respond without responding...to reply without agreeing or disagreeing.

In conclusion, here, have a brownie...it's the only one left because it's burnt.

    ReplyDelete
  44. don't you have any thing better to do then play "brownie bakeing with Gryphon?!

    ReplyDelete
  45. What, do you want me to make brownies with you too? :P

And hey...don't judge me...I need humor and amusement and entertainment in my life :D I'm not ADD... ooh!! Look!! A snowflake shaped like a brownie!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm sure that if it meant that we were going to get some, any one of us would make brownies with you.

    ReplyDelete
  47. no comment!
    .
    .
    .
    .
    (strains imperceptibly)
    .
uhhhhhhh....I can not let it pass it without a comment!Did you have to cheapen it?I was just about to wax eloquent about how the "no comment" was the nicest thing ever not said to me.It was able to say it all without commenting on anything! It showed me that there are some things in this life that still are not able to be commented on!it was heart-warming to be ignored with such finesse.............Then the moment is ruined and it becomes not a true "no comment"no comment but a comment that follows the comment of "no comment".Let me just comment that you coined the Zen thought very well in your December 8 post!(so your no comment was a Zen "no comment")To get off that subject (as you are all so sad to do)I just got my braces off and got my retainer!......groan......I have to deal with a retainer now.I mean braces are bad(In order to get a proper look at the feelings of brace cursed people everywhere look here..http://lordsheritage.blogspot.com/2010/11/open-leter-to-kid-about-to-get-braces.html)but now I have to deal with a retainer induced lisp.(or should I say listhp)
In conclusion,I will take that brownie now Erika....well?!:)

    ReplyDelete
  48. The Hunter: well, you don't know about my cooking skillz...just today, I was at my great-grandma's house, and she wanted me to make a pie with some pie crusts and pie filling that she had bought. It *tasted* fine, but..well...I don't want to think about it any more. :P

Gryphon: And that wasn't the least little bit confusing... (?????) Actually, I think I followed it all, until you said the word "Zen" and I realized that I don't know what that word means.

You got your braces off? I am jealous. Much. But I am very impressed that you actually read my blog and linked to it.

So here is your brownie. Enjoy :) http://www.recipegirl.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Brownie-Muffins-3.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  49. oh come on I am sure it was fine(that has to at least earn me some brownie points.)But then again the Hunter does not know whats good anyway.:)Really? Not even the least bit confusing?WOW I must be losing the magic touch!I must strive to make more confusing posts to earn another prestigious "no comment".(what does Zen mean?I always thought it was a Eastern philosophy,a cross between Buddhism and Shintoism.Where everyone shaves their head and sits in very strange robes, and goes,"oooooooommmmmmmmmm.......oooooommmmmm."(ad infinitum.)maybe I am wrong if so please enlighten me to the tenets of Zen.Logan says the Zen is also a type of MP3 player.as for my braces, do not be jealous you get a retainer after and that is communist torture."okay now mr Reed if this does not work we are going to have to go through the entire blasted braces process over again!"said the overly nice orthodontist assistant.
    .
    .
    .
.I got my braces off so I could eat REAL brownie without guilt!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yeah the Zen MP3 player is a good brand. Creative makes them. And doing Zen is kinda like doing loga......only without shaving heads.

  52. RETRACTION:DECEMBER 9TH-4:19PM
    SUBJECT:PROFUSE APOLOGIES FOR STUPID COMMENT
I must apologize for a plausibly rude comment in this post. The exact wording in question is this:"But then again the Hunter does not know whats good anyway:)"It has come to the attention of the Gryphon correctional program(Mason)that this could be cause for unexpected and undue insulting inflection on the part of the affected party.I would humbly inquire that you ignore the remark. As I wrote that post I was under the impression that Hunter was being derogatory to the culinary ability of the person(s) involved, and I was only seeking to correct him in his fallacy. In my infinite stupidity I had accidentally overlooked vital wording in his post that would have led me to see the post in it's original intent(a compliment).I did not mean to insinuate that Erika had a lack of good culinary talent.

    ReplyDelete
  53. And now a TL for the comment above by T.S. :)

I think Gryphon is saying that it wasn't his intention to insult Erika's cooking skills.

    ReplyDelete
  54. ...what does TL and T.S. mean? But thanks for the clarification, Twilight Shadow-- I surmised that Gryphon was upset about something, but in my poor sleep deprived brain last night, I couldn't figure out what.

So, Gryphon: No offense taken! I'm not even sure what you thought you had implied, but no, I didn't think you had insulted my cooking. :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. TL= Translation
    T.S.= Twilight+Shadow :)

This has been "Lazy way's to type"
    by: Twilight Shadow

Tune in next time to read about......hmmm....=_=?...I will think of something ;)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yeah,Gryphon can be pretty hard to understand sometimes.(Thanks for the translation, though Shadow.)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I wondered if TL was translation...but I had no clue what T.S. was. Maybe Too Short? :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thank-you for translations Twilight Shadow.(I can not wait for the next installment of "Lazy way's to type")
Thank-you for not being offended at my oversight at typing.

    ReplyDelete
  59. P.S:I am hard to understand,Hunter?!I have never been more insul....(voice trails off in silent contemplation)..........Well actually yeah I am.But I think Rennuke can attest that I usually make sense if you can understand.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Didn't you just contradict yourself? I mean, think about it,"I do make sense if you understand me." (Scratching head) (It could just be me,I suppose.)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Same way that most School books are I guess."You can not understand until you try."
(but I try and I still do not understand?!hmmmmmmmmmm??????)

    ReplyDelete
  62. yeah, T.S. is to short a way to say Twilight Shadow but I just kinda put that in for fun and probably will not use it much. Gryphon is not hard to understand for me. I think that might be because we are brothers.

    ReplyDelete
  63. And I am.....adopted? And as far as you're concerned,Gryph, try harder! If you'd spend more time studying something other than history, you might find other things a little bit easier.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Twilight Shadow, I meant that T.S. could have been an acronym for Too Short. Because I'm sure that's a nickname you have.

I decided that I'm staying out of the adopted-motivation-big-brother-pep-talk-confusing-little-brothers conversation. But it's vastly entertaining...I keep checking back for more installments.

  66. What Gryphon is trying to make you understand is that if you can understand the way he understands things then he is ESAY to understand but if you are one who doesn’t understand his way of understanding then you can’t understand him at all. Understand?
You see Gryphon was writing in Grryphiti ( that’s kind of like graffiti but it’s a language not an artform)
If he had truly wanted you to believe him then he would have used a medium you could understand but it suited his subtle agendas to have you all confused, One wonders greatly what outcome he will engineer and will we be able to foresee it in time……

    ReplyDelete
  67. It's no wonder that you two are such good friends. You "understand" each other perfectly. I must say, though, that it takes a special kind of crazy to understand my little brother.

    ReplyDelete
  68. (This is the "edited" post that Gryphon made 2 post above. Last names have been removed upon request of the poster. As we strive for our contributors privacy.) -Tech Support-

I am sorry to be the one to tell you Hunter...But.....You are adopted. We do not know where exactly you came from, somewhere where Algebra=fun and a Beard=mental capabilities.(Remember those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it.So when you have to deal with a meglo-maniac in Europe because you tried appeasement look me up.)
Actually Erika we could probably use your advice, you have a objective viewpoint(you probably do not have to worry about older- brother-younger-brother-"discussions".

(AND STAY TUNED TO THE BROTHER-AGE-BASH FOR THE NEXT INSTALLMENT WHERE THE ILLUSIVE ERIKA GIVES HER ACCUMULATED WISDOM!)

P.S:Twilight Shadow has that problem a-lot.(people calling him too short, right Shadow?:)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Once again Rennuke you show your vast memory capabilities in being able to ascertain the truth of Grryphiti.(That is funny,my spell check options say that the only word that is related to that is Pharyngitis.)
Grryphiti is a ancient conglomeration of subliminal wave frequencies, ancient civilization's dialects, and a fair amount of chaotic inflection;if you wish for translations of Grryphiti ask Mason.(Thanks for the back-up my fellows against the assault on my legibility.or perhaps ilegibilty?.)
But I can assure everyone here that any subtle influences I may be planning for this nexus of information are not of a devious nature.(Devious does not include insane though;)....(steeples fingers and laughs to himself.)
As for being good friends with Rennuke it is simply because we have mutual deal going:He lowers himself at times to my standard of insane nuances and superficial understanding of classic studies, and at (rare) moments I achieve his state of enlightened study and knowledge.
I thank Tech-support for his editing of my wayward post.THANK-YOU!(it removes the burden of having to right another retraction.)(phewww)

P.S:Hunter when you are the only person out of three that can not understand someone perhaps YOU are crazy.......Actually I think I am sorta crazy.:)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Question:Obviously there's yourself and Rennuke, but who is the third person that understands you,Gryphon? And depending on your answer to that, who, then, are you calling crazy?
(Think very carefully my little brother.)

And by the way Erika,I didn't see any brownies at the party. What gives?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Twilight of course!(but I call him crazy everyday :)

Yeah Erika.I mean, where were the pies?Where were the brownies?Where were the cinnamon snicker-doodles!?(begins to weep)I was looking forward to gaining at the very LEAST ten pounds at that night.(composes himself with great difficulty)oh well the pizza was good.(as usual)(suddenly does a double-take)But that is not to say that I did not enjoy myself.(pushing our car out of your drive way was an AWESOME experience.)

    ReplyDelete
  72. The Hunter lost his brownie points, so I thought I was off the hook :P

I'm sorry Gryphon...was it just a gain of 9.7 pounds? Better luck next time, I guess. (?????)

    ReplyDelete
  73. ????? (?????)What does (??????) mean.I am ????? about ?????.
It was more like 9.9 pounds.:)

P.S:What about US?WE do not get any brownies?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I lost my brownie points? Since when? And if I did, then didn't I get more from my December 9th post?

  75. Gryphon: (???????) meant that I wasn't sure what the proper response was but that I was going to try that one and hope that it was somewhat of a right reply. And you didn't get any 'cause I was too busy/forgot about making some, plus there wasn't a good time to make brownies when Jess wasn't there to be suspicious.

Hunter: I didn't think you got any more on December 9th...which comment?

You know, if we keep this up, we may get up to 100...

    ReplyDelete
  76. Okay, fair enough. You couldn't make anything due the fact that you were planning a surprise party for your sister. We can let it slip this once. And my post was used in conjunction with someone else's,but never mind.

  78. Whoops!Sorry people I made a mistake in writing and decided to delete the comment rather than put you all through the agony of another retraction.

Anyway......I just did not know what ????? meant; But thanks for the clarification:)Now I think we can forgive you for not having any brownies at the party(seeing as how you planned it and all.)

THAT would be AWESOME 100 Posts by CHRISTMAS PEOPLE!LETS DO IT!

Man!You girls are cruel depriving poor Hunter of his much deserved brownie points.(hands tissue to weeping Hunter.)settle down, settle down Hunter the mean old girls did not mean impugn your sense of fair play.(lowers voice)Everybody you must excuse the Hunter he gets quite emotional about his brownies....and his cakes.....and his snicker doodles.(but then again that is why we love him!)

By the way Rennuke you will be pleasantly surprised to know that your Aeon acolyte will has grown into a nice little religious choir boy commander.

P.S:how did Jessica like the surprise party?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Is it possible to have somebody else get you in trouble? I can't think of anything witty and spontaneous to say so I'm just gonna reply with "Remember who said what about the girls."

    ReplyDelete
  80. Who said what about what girls when where why how??

Hunter. Are you guys coming to the thing for Matt on Monday? If you are, I shall bring brownies. (Welll...wait...if I have to work that day I won't have time. drat. If I get out of work in time...hmm.) Okay, I shall try very hard.

[this makes 91...we can do it, Gryphon!]

  81. I have decided that the last few days before Christmas are some of the worst days of the year. first off you can't get anything to snack on because everything is saved for Christmas. So what am I to do when the transparent, untouchable, entity inside of me decides to once again test his chains and fill the gap left by the lack of good tasting, sweat, consumable mater. I start subconsciously walking to all the usual places snacks are stored to see how the stock is doing. Only to catch myself in the act of reaching out with that creatures hand to take something that will bring much joy later. But will very easily fill the gap and rid me of this things hold on my primal, motor functions. (Sigh), this too shall come to pass and I will once again have control. I am trying to fight it but it is strong and we are locked in battle that will push me to the breaking point unless I can find something to eat right now! Man, that was close, he went strait for the oatmeal raisin cookies but the hot water for my tea whistled and gave me the chance I needed to regain control. I just put an extra scoop of sugar in my tea to satisfy the void and it seems to be working.
Now what was I going to post about again?
    -_-?.....hmmmm....
I forgot, oh well, Merry Christmas!!

  82. oops. (Here "are" five more posts)^^
But I guess this makes 7 lol!!

  83. ALRIGHT!!!!!!!99TH POST PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!This prestigious posting of adolescent intellect is soon synonymous with the Centi place.

Goodness Twilight!Your plight cracks the sober facade of my cold heart. It makes me want to cry.(and go eat a whole pan of fudge.)But be strong,Comrade,The evil forces denying us our envious position as devourers of Christmas goodies will soon be banished as the Day of Joy approaches.
    .
    .
(Wow everyone is looking at me like I am some sort WEIRDO!.....oh well,I have gotten used to it.;)

Well Erika I am not sure if we are going to the "Matt" Thing(COOL Matt has his OWN "thing"!HE IS SO LUCKY!Seriously,Twilight,Hunter,I want my own "thing"!:)Anyway,Erika,we thank-you profusely for your consideration of our taste buds.Have you commented on any other post besides this one?

P.S:Hunter do you not know?It is the younger sibling's prerogative to get the older into trouble.(you do it enough to me!LOL:)

    ReplyDelete
  84. Hahahaha! I literally laughed out loud, Gryphon "eat a whole pan of fudge." haha. I think you'd be banished to the Isle of Perpetual Tickling if you did.

Twilight Shadow, I understand your pain. You have put into words what we all face, every year. I mean, it's not like metabolism stops during the week before Christmas...or Thanksgiving...or Easter. I'm sure there's some leftover oatmeal in the fridge you could gnaw on...

Nope, I don't comment on anything else. That would require reading the post. :)

    And...100!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Awwww come on!I know it is difficult, but we are here to support you along the way.GO ERIKA!GO ERIKA!YOU CAN READ THAT POST WITHOUT FALLING ASLEEP!WE BELIEVE IN YOU!

P.S:With great teeth, comes great responsibility.(come on people!I think I deserve some indulgence after losing the dreaded metal rods on my teeth.:)

    ReplyDelete
  86. I skimmed the latest post, because it had pictures. What exactly would I comment, anyhow? "Yay!! Swords!!" I feel that eye-rolling and a "No Girls Allowed" sign would quickly follow.

Oh yes, you definitely do. Now you can eat sticky stuff...like taffy...and caramel. Enjoy. But don't forget your less-fortunate brethren and sistren in braces. Actually, I don't really like taffy and caramel anyhow.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Yeah caramel is not all it is cracked up to be,and I only like one kind of taffy anyway. But I was directly referring to fudge anyway.(Grandma makes it the BEST!)
Do not worry,I NEVER forget to pay attention to all the Brethren and Sistren that are afflicted by our communal Achilles Heel. After all,we that are fortunate enough to have the bonds over enamel loosed must never forget the empathy that was forged through the exhaustive trials of our braces. The great brotherhood stretches from braces afflicted victim to braces afflicted victim, with the noble goal of the veterans using their collective wisdom to commune with others and strengthen the resolve.Younger,Older, all join in the noble quest of destroying the tyranny of Orthodontics.(as you can see I still hold all my brethren and sistren in very high emotional regard.)

    P.S:Yay!!Swords!!WOULD be kinda nice:)

  88. I'm just going to sit back and shake my head.:) Just wait,Gryphon,I haven't even begun to "get you in trouble" yet. Although,on the flip side,I do feel sorry for everyone with the cursed metal in their mouth. My sympathy to you all. But Gryphon,if it was as bad as you say it was,how come you didn't thin out any?:) One might think that with you missing out on all these rare delicacies that you might shed some pounds.:D:D Unless of course you WERE NOT actually skipping out on such things. Makes a body wonder...

    ReplyDelete
  89. (assumes a air of wounded dignity)My very confused brother the reason for my generous girth is the same as yours.IF EVERYTHING in your house is extremely delicious, then even if you can not eat certain good things you can eat large amounts of a delicious other. As for getting ME in trouble it would be mutual destruction. You may get first punch, but I think I could come back with more damaging dings.
youth, cunning, AND vigor, will outdo anybody.:)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Not so, old age and treachery will out do youth and vigor any day. And I think I just called myself old......
    guess it's true =_="

  91. Well. I finally decide to comment and nobody's talking anymore. And no, of course I can't comment on another post! That would be common sense! So, I'm just going to say that Takeshi is (was) amazing and leave before the angry comments start flooding in. :)

    ReplyDelete
  92. You are such a chicken Annetta! And we are not going to send angry words toward you:)(much) And common sense? Don't worry,we don't expect any type of common sense on this thing.(It's why you girls fit in perfectly):):):)

    ReplyDelete
  93. *Ahem* I could either be very insulted or I could laugh at you.
    Hahahahaha. Consider yourself lucky. :)
Of course, it's up to Erika to decide how much your brownie points dropped.
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. Well,as far as the brownie points are concerned,I've given up trying to keep track of those things. I just can't seem to stay on anybodies good side.:) And yes,I do consider myself very lucky. I have such sweet, charming friends in your family (Joanna,Josh, and Katrina).

    ReplyDelete
  95. Just laugh Annetta,just laugh.:)
I consider it one of my sovereign missions in life to goad friends into laughter.(so indulge me please:)
Common sense?common sense?hmmmmmmmm?Well let us think about this a little bit.If you are surrounded by people who lack all commonly accepted theories about common sense, then the common common sense is uncommon sense, while the previously uncommon becomes common.:):):) .......This post demonstrates that rather nicely:)
Ladies, what good is it being so much smarter than us and not using it?Go ahead and comment.I am sure your astute analysis would be an enlightening experience.
The brownie point problem is approaching scandalous proportions.Let me put it to rest.Girls, bring a pan of brownies next time(and the next 100 times after that) and we will call it even.
P.S:Thanks to Rennuke and lady Thimble for the visit last night.
P.S.S:Hunter you forget Angelic, innocent, and all-round blameless in your description of our little friends. But lets remember their siblings too, with their dazzling wit and rapier sports skill.....and extremely sarcastic tongues.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Hunter: So the rest of us are just grumpy and repulsive? Yeah, I love twisting people's words. And the brownies points...I'm pretty sure the you're at zero on the Kelvin scale. :)

Gryphon: Ahh, yes! So, I have common uncommon common sense? I'm confuzing myself...
I'll try to remember the brownies, as long as you guard them from Hunter. :)
And thank you! Dazzling wit and rapier sports skills are good, but please don't forget about dizzying intellects.

    ReplyDelete
  97. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is GREAT!!Hunter,I believe we call that "The Law of Unintended Consequences".That is great Annetta you just SLAMMED the Hunter,NICE!You have the talent of word twisting,I should know!;)
(I have been trying to do that my ENTIRE life!)
Man, Hunter what did you do?One minute you have a pan of brownies in the bag,and now I am "guarding" a pan of brownies from you.(It would be irresponsible to the job I have been given to just "guard" the brownies...hmmmmm I have to put them somewhere safe.......I have IT!I will keep them safe in my very secure stomach!GENIUS!)
Oh well.I better help out the Hunter(filial loyalty and all).He was NOT insinuating a lack positive personality traits in the rest of your clan, only that he has magnified them in the said person(s).(That does not mean you can not beat on him a bit more for his slip.I enjoy that immensely:)
Dizzying intellect!oh yes!how could I forget? You girls have a dizzying intellect, which is why obviously my gutter speak was confusing to you huh?

    ReplyDelete
  98. if they were there we would have mentioned them

    ReplyDelete
  99. now for our mutual sanity if any one else posts on this thread I will erase the entire thread.HAHAHAHA
If you want to continue reefing on each other we can make a reefing thread. any one care to give an opinion on that ?

    ReplyDelete
  100. sure why not?WHOOPS that is one more post!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Didn't I suggest making A dedicated thread for mudslinging and verbal sparing, Like, 40 comments back? (December 2, 2010 11:16 PM)
    Yes, it is there.

And I feel I must, once again, translate Gryphons comment about common sense.
All he is doing is switching common and uncommon sense. He is saying that if this thread has all things uncommon made by people that are all uncommon. (still with me?)
Then that would make things or people that are uncommon the standard for this thread.
So that in turn would make normally common things (outside this thread) become uncommon in this thread. The point is that you should comment on other threads if you want to do the uncommon thing.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sure,Rennuke.I'm all for that. It will be fun to verbally spar with "certain" people.

    ReplyDelete
  103. It sounds like a good idea, since we're up to roughly 947 comments on this post. (Rennuke, please have mercy and remember that in order for you to know my opinion (s), I had to post something...)

Gryphon: Yes, my life is now complete! :) And your logic about the brownies sounds reasonable...although you'll have to watch out. I'm sure Hunter has secretly decided to become a stomach surgeon. (If there are such things, that is.)

Twilight Shadow: Got it. I think. Actually let's just say that I have amazing sense and leave it at that. :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. I'm seriously SERIOUSLY thinking of trashing this hole thing for the continued insubordination on this thread however I am a firm believer of not punishing the Innocent with the guilty so in consideration of the original topic (which was quit good) I will"have mercy" and as long as their are no further violations I will relent.
