Signs of the times

On the 11th of March 2011 The fifth largest in the world earthquake since 1900 and the largest in Japan's recorded history hit just off its coast. At 8.8 on the Richter scale it pushed the entire Island of Japan 8 feet ,moved the earth’s magnetic north pole 2 inches and increased the word's rotation speed  1.6 microseconds.
All this caused a tsunami  like a shock-wave to literally explode out of the ocean and hurl in every direction, at speeds faster than a jumbo jet and slam in to the shore. I can't even comprehend the kind of forces that would be unleashed when that happened, but we're probably talking hundreds of nuclear bombs worth of energy. The amount of damage done by these two events is hard to grasp think in terms of thousands of lives and billions of dollars and you getting close the exact extent of the damage is still unknown.
And this isn’t the only catastrophe going on wars, revolutions, famines, earthquakes, and hurricanes just to name a few, are beginning to seem to be the norm.  So a lot of people are asking What In The World Is Going ON? And possibly even more importantly, why? Why is God letting these things happen to them, or us for that matter.
Matthew 24:7-8  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
I believe that we are in the last days and that the disasters we are witnessing are a final prelude to the beginning of the end. God trying one last time to turn the world back to himself.
So why am I saying this? Because we need to be aware of the Days that we live in and how to react to them. You see the famines of this time aren’t just physical ones.
Amos 8:11  Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
We need to learn to hear what God is saying to us personally right now!
People, as Christians we shouldn’t be concerned when we hear about this kind of thing.
Luke 21:28  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

  3. Jonathan Krull Welcome to the Mètis! Would you mind introducing yourself a little for us? All I know about you is your well read ,have traveled some are interested in theology and history ,and I’d put money on that you went to Patrick Henry College for some amount of time.
That said, I appreciated your input.
And I would like to make a responses to them.
First I’d like to clarify that it was not my intention to make the Bible sound like some kind of puzzles to be deciphered or that it will give you an exact date for the second coming. As to this being the “last days” Pall himself called the time he lived in “last days” Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; and It is my PERSONAL opinion that “ the hour is late” I admit could be wrong but that on the info I have at the moment that in the conclusion I came to.
“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Mark 13:32
Some people look at this verse and say: see he didn’t say we wouldn’t know the season so we should be about to get the general vicinity! Some of those learned scholars you were toting have come to this conclusion and in spite of that verse have published exact dates that they think the Lord will return, I am not sporting there views I’m trying to show that just because someone with a degree says it doesn’t mean it is true or even remotely feasible. On the other hand I have a hard time seeing God wait until the precise moment that no one in the entire history of the world thought that was when he was going to come. It’s my guess that us thinking that is it is this time or that has no effect on it at all. 
Also I do have to question your or rather “Preterism’s” interpretation of Daniel’s Abomination of Desolation” on the grounds that the things stated there all are said to happen after the temple in Jerusalem is rebuilt and the daily sacrifice is resumed. By the way “Premillenial futurism” is the technical, or derogatory term (depending how you look at it) for the belief that the events in Revelations are not metaphorical or yet competed .And I’ll freely admit that I’m at somewhat of a loss as to how someone can read Revelations and think it has all ready happened. At the end of Revelations mankind has been judged unlike the world has ever known a new haven and a new earth have been created. Death and Hell are thrown in to the lake of fire and so on. I have trouble seeing how someone can think those have already happened, unless you say the hole book is allegorical but THAT is a different desiccation entirely.
One more thing well I completely agree with you on the media satiation and “interesting times “ that have happened in the past. I would like to know where you get your more notions now then in the past I challenge you to find more than a very few countries that are not made of several smaller ones. For example The kingdom of France is made of Normandy, Naples, Fresha and more all of which ones were their own sovereign nation .
However after saying all the things I disagreed with I do agree with your conclusion with one provision. Make sure you have it before you try to give it to someone else!
PS I’m not Sherlock Homes I talked with Gryphon 
