A place to let those who are willing to find the truth.
“Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it”
I LIKED ARCHY!!! ARCHY IS THE COOLEST MILLIPEDE IN THE HISTORY OF MILLIPEDES!!! THE WAY SHE WALKS BEATS BY FAR THE WAY ANY OTHER CREEPY-CRAWLY WALKS, HANDS DOWN!!!
I have nothing against bugs, except not liking them and wanting every bug inside of our house to go outside.......... Bugs are good only if they are outside.
Got to agree with TheCocoaNut and TheHunter1 on this one ... I don't have anything in particular against bugs (like I do against snakes), but I also pretty firmly believe they should not be in the house. So for the safety of the family I'm glad he's out of the house, but would have preferred he could have just stayed free in his home turf =)
oh my word! I didn't even know this was going on!! Well I really like Archy and the best part of it is...I haven't quite made the time to take her to the pet store yet, hehe. So if any of you (who will be nice and NOT kill her) want her, I can still work something out. Hunter: Have you ever disagreed with CocoaNut?! (;
theHunter says, "Oh, YES, _I_ want her. Very, very much. In fact, I've been waiting and waiting to get my hands around her throa....umm, I mean, to be able to hold her, heh heh. *innocent look*. I have a nice little grave...uh, house, for her. I'm going to feed her all sorts of unhealthy things and teach her how to skydive with a dysfunctional parachute and and then teach her how to swim. So, yes, I want her. Gryphy, Twi, Ph and I can bond while we watch our pet grow up and become justifiably suicidal (not that there's such a thing, it just sounded good). We can have good times teaching her how to live without eating or drinking and can use her to prove that it IS possible to sprout wings and fly if dropped off a thirty-three story building (hey, everyone knows how the body can adapt). We can show all our friends that millipedes actually can show fear if pushed hard enough under certain circumstancess. Yes, we'll have a blast, if she lasts enough long after the stomping and chloroforming."
Thim: I'd have to think about it. I mean, she's really cool, but I like my millipedes outside with my salamanders and snakes. They're more fun to just pick up and hold for a few half dozen minutes and then let go to go tell their "those humans!" story to Freddie, Mikey, and the twins Ferdie and Michelle, baby Suzie, and of course patient Mom Mollie May. And then go to the scale polishing place and tell all the friends.
I like Archy as a concept... :) Thimble, you should make a sign on the outside of your goat barn that says "My other pet is a millipede." Petting Archie was definitely a special experience, though.
Pratsammy (also: Pratsalami. haha): That was a surprisingly good summation of the Hunter!

ReplyDeleteSorry, but I hate just about everything that crawls around, including Archy. I never had the misfortune of meeting it, and I'm glad :)
ReplyDeleteSorry. Can't say that I liked it. I'm with TheCocoaNut on the one. I would have squished it a LONG time ago.

ReplyDeleteNo, the scientific definition for the word "bug" is biting, bloodsucking insect and Archy is too nice to do those things. :P
